Karelia à la carte –project

vv. 2008 - 2011.

Goal:

The development of co-operation and functioning requirements in the field of tourism, foodstuff, handicraft and applied art under the brand of Karelia à la carte.

The project aims to get as large group of companies as possible to co-operate under the brand of Karelia à la carte. The larger the amount of companies involved is, the more visibility and impressiveness the fields of tourism, foodstuff, handicraft and applied art in Northern Karelia will gain.

Concrete Procedures:

The project aims to develope co-operation in know-how, product development, benefiting and purchasing local raw ingredients, production, marketing and logistics. The quality control, strategies, orderliness and productivity of companies gets improved with developing work.

  • To develope Karelia à la carte marketing  (materials, exhibitions, sales improving events)
  • Branding/product development
  • To develop electrical sales
  • Different development procedures of logistics
  • Researches
  • Training programs, field trips and briefings, in which the results of the project are announced and introduced.

Karelia à la carte is financed by North Karelian TE-centre rural department, the country fund of Europe, municipalities and companies.

Budget: 400 000 euro
